Draw a portrait of someone and color it using one of the color schemes we discussed (complementary, analogous, monochromatic, or triadic). Your color choices don’t have to be realistic!

Sketch a scene from daily life or nature (a table at home, people on the bus, flowers in a garden, etc). Choose just one thing in your sketch to add color to (Ex. People on the street in the rain and a single red umbrella)—play with the power of color to draw the eye’s attention and build meaning.
Choose a random household object and draw it in a creative way. (For example, draw a pencil as a rocket ship.)
